Agriculture, Food and Drink Sector Lead for Northern Ireland, Department for Business and Trade
Katie joined the Department of Business and Trade in 2022, following almost 10 years in the private sector working predominantly in the food and drink industry. Katie's is the Agriculture, Food and Drink Sector Lead in Northern Ireland and her role is to support the Northern Ireland food and drink sector sell their products to Ireland, Europe, and Rest of World through UK Government export support initiatives.
Adriana Navarro
Regional Head of Food and Drink for LATAC, Department for Business and Trade
Adriana Navarro is the Head of the Food and Drink, AgriTech, and Retail sectors at the British Embassy in Mexico. In this role, she facilitates the entry of UK companies into the Mexican market and advocates for the expansion of UK food and drink products. With a degree in Business Administration and extensive expertise in international trade, Adriana is committed to strengthening commercial relationships between the UK and Mexico. Her passion for fostering growth and innovation throughout Latin America underscores her dedication to advancing both markets.
David Ramirez
Senior Trade Officer for Food & Drink in Mexico, Department for Business and Trade
David Ramírez is the Senior Trade Officer for Food & Drink and Agri-tech at the British Embassy in Mexico, currently supporting both sectors for almost two years. Holding a Bachelor’s degree in International Business, he has worked in the field for almost five years. Most recently, David focuses on the development of business opportunities for UK Agri-tech companies in Mexico, while supporting the Food & Drink strategy for Mexico and LATAC with upcoming opportunities around the UK’s adhesion to the CPTPP.
Sergio Andujo
Regional Director Latin America, Invest Northern Ireland
Sergio brings over a decade of experience working within the UK government, focusing on enhancing trade and investment between Mexico and the UK. His diverse roles have equipped him with a deep understanding of international commerce dynamics. Sergio was the former lead of DBT’s food and drink campaign for Latin America. Currently, he shapes and oversees Northern Ireland's exports in his region, exemplifying his commitment to fostering economic growth and international partnerships.
Alexander Newell
Trade Business Development Manager, Mexico, Invest Northern Ireland
Alexander’s professional background focuses on Government Relations, Diplomacy, and Economic Development. On completion of his academic studies, he worked at the Northern Ireland Assembly at Stormont in Belfast. Alexander is passionate about unlocking Business opportunities for Northern Ireland across Latin America in his current role as Trade Business Development Manager for Invest Northern Ireland.
