Coventry-based businesswoman, Zeynep Turudi, founded her company Truede Ltd in her home garage in 2003 and has seen the business grow over the last 20 years, with 5,000 retail spots in the UK alone and exports to 35 countries.
The company boasts a range of authentic luxury confectionery, from handmade Turkish Delight to Roasted Chickpeas snacks – sweet and savoury, with products made from natural clean ingredients and authentic recipes. Making them Vegan & Gluten free.
Export has been a part of the company's DNA since it was set up, Zeynep says “The help of DBT has been instrumental in its rapid expansion over recent years. Up to 40% of the business has been through exports and export sales have increased by 70-80% year on year. The support received from DBT is responsible for 25% of the growth”.
