Richard Davies

Founder and Director, HGL Ltd

Richard brings over 30 years of industry expertise to the table, having started from the bottom and worked his way through various roles in warehousing, shipping, transport and export. In 2016, Richard embarked on a new venture by establishing HGL in New Zealand, laying its foundation from scratch.

Richard’s demeaner is characterised by being straightforward yet passionately committed to his industry. What truly sets HGL apart, according to Richard, is the genuine concern for clients and partners, prioritising relationships over transactions.

Todd Crooks

Sales Director, MGL Logistics

Todd started working in the international freight industry in 1997 where he learnt the varying facets of the industry, working in both AIR and SEA operations, warehousing and customs clearance departments. From these humble beginnings, Todd worked his way up into account management, sales and finally became a director of MGL Logistics where he has remained for the past 13 years.
Todd’s personality and passion for the industry has been paramount to his success and with that, a loyal customer base. Success is not just down to the individual, Todd says you need a team to be truly successful and the staff at MGL are all about the customer and go above and beyond, making the job of selling and customer retention, a much easier process.

According to Todd, “If you don’t look after your customer, someone else will” and it’s that formula that keep him and the MGL team, striving to be better.
